By using HealthLens AI, you agree to these Terms. Please read them.
1. What HealthLens AI is
HealthLens AI is a personal health helper that uses artificial intelligence to identify consumer products and evaluate whether they match your self-reported health profile. It is a tool, not a doctor.
2. Not medical advice
HealthLens AI does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the app is a substitute for professional medical judgment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for anything related to your health, allergies, medications, or medical conditions. See our Medical Disclaimer for details.
3. Accuracy limitations
HealthLens AI uses AI to identify products and infer ingredients. It can and will make mistakes. It may:
- Identify the wrong product or wrong variant
- Miss ingredients that are actually in a product
- Flag ingredients that are not actually present
- Be out of date with product reformulations
For any severe allergy or medical condition, always read the physical label on the product and verify for yourself before consuming or using it. Do not rely on HealthLens AI alone.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information in your health profile — the app’s recommendations depend on it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for anything illegal
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse our servers
- Upload content you don’t have the right to share
- Use the app to provide medical advice to others
6. Content you submit
You retain ownership of photos you take and profile data you enter. By submitting them, you grant us a limited license to process them through our AI providers (e.g. Anthropic) solely to deliver the app’s features to you. We don’t sell or publish your content.
7. Subscriptions and payments
HealthLens AI may offer paid features via auto-renewing subscriptions. Billing is handled by Apple through your App Store account. You can cancel any time in your iPhone Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple per Apple’s refund policy.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
HealthLens AI is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We don’t guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. You use it at your own risk.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HealthLens AI and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to allergic reactions, missed ingredients, or incorrect identifications. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months (or $0 if you use the free tier).
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
